Gentleman & A Van was established in 2004, founded on a couple of simple philosophies: moving doesn’t have to be stressful and customer service should always be excellent.
When we started, that wasn’t always the case. We looked at the removals industry and saw it was incredibly uneven. We knew it could be better and we continue helping people move the Gentleman & A Van way.
Our TW12 removals are done with forethought, consideration and an understanding of how our customers’ lives work. We plan moves so our clients can continue living normally, without chaos and disruption.

WHAT SERVICES DO GENTLEMAN & A VAN OFFER?
We take on all the aspects of your move, including the provision of a full packing/unpacking service. If, on the other hand, you prefer to do your own, we can make sure you’re equipped with all the best and most durable moving materials.
If you’d like us to unpack, we ensure all your furniture is placed where you want it – leaving you with a clean, tidy house. Our Hampton removals service includes taking all the empty cardboard boxes and other debris away, recycling it wherever possible.
Discuss container storage if you do not need frequent access, or self-storage options through our storage partnership if regular access matters. Confirm availability, location, collection and redelivery before booking.
Preparing for a Hampton move
Give both full postcodes and include possessions in sheds, garages and lofts in the survey. If you are downsizing, decide what should go directly to the new home and what may need temporary storage before asking for a quote.

MAN & VAN IN HAMPTON
TW12 removals aren’t all the same size – for the smaller ones, our Man & Van service in Hampton is the right choice. It uses smaller vehicles that can navigate busy roads even more efficiently and its attractive rates make it a great option when you’re simply moving a single item of furniture or something like a piano.
Our movers, drivers and packers are competent, courteous and keen to make your move a happy one. We also have experts on hand for any complicated items, including paintings that need special packaging and handling.

I booked our removal with Gentleman & A Van and could not be happier with the whole experience.
Amy from the office was fantastic from the very beginning. She organised everything extremely well, was very accommodating and knowledgeable, and was always happy to answer any questions.
We had our removal last Saturday and the team was absolutely amazing!!! They were extremely professional, efficient, fast and friendly, and made what could have been a very stressful day feel completely stress-free. Everything was handled impeccably from start to finish, and the dismantling and reassembly of our furniture was done to the highest standard.

I couldn’t recommend this removal company highly enough! From start to finish, the communication was excellent – everything was really clear, and Amy in particular was very responsive and reassuring, which made the whole moving process feel so much less stressful.
The team on the day were absolutely brilliant. We happened to move on a 34-degree day, but despite the heat they were incredibly efficient, getting everything packed up and moved amazingly quickly while still taking care of all our belongings. Everything arrived safely and nothing was damaged or broken.
We unfortunately discovered that our sofa wouldn’t fit into the new house, but they arranged to store it for us at a really reasonable price and then delivered it to a storage unit a week later at a time that suited us – no fuss at all.
Moving house is stressful at the best of times (let alone in 34-degree heat and at 8 months pregnant!), but the whole team made the experience so much easier. Friendly, professional, efficient and genuinely helpful throughout. We’d absolutely use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

I was really impressed with the service. Terance and the team, whichever one we use as we use these guys a lot, always go above and beyond. If the job gets a bit tight time wise and because they have such a large crew they call a team that maybe finished quicker elsewhere than anticipated and they all help out to get the job done. Always professional and no complaints.

Can I give 10 stars? This company is amazing. They really really are very good at what they do. Every single person was excellent at what they do and they made out move as painless as possible and helped us out at quite short notice due to being let down by another supplier. Book in advance (unlike us). I can't recommend them highly enough. Amy and Sam are super heroes. Dont even contemplate any other company.

Could not recommend these guys more. Amy in the office was incredible; so efficient, knowledgeable and just lovely. Our original movers cancelled on us two days before our move, we thought we’d been clever and found cheap ones but they had so much small print it was going to work out double the quote. When questioned, they cancelled. We called these guys and Amy immediately came to the rescue (miraculous they had availability!!) within half an hour she’d organised our entire move, sent packers over to help and turned the most nightmare situation into a total triumph. Sam, Nic, Tom, Garry, Max, Taylor and the rest of the team were The Dream. So calm, capable, organised and knew exactly what they were doing. The safest possible hands and the nicest possible guys. They have totally transparent pricing which worked out basically the same as our dodgy ‘cheap’ ones and it was so fair for the level of professionalism and effort. I will never use anyone else again and am eternally grateful. THANK YOU for the best start to our new chapter 💙
