I couldn’t recommend this removal company highly enough! From start to finish, the communication was excellent – everything was really clear, and Amy in particular was very responsive and reassuring, which made the whole moving process feel so much less stressful.
The team on the day were absolutely brilliant. We happened to move on a 34-degree day, but despite the heat they were incredibly efficient, getting everything packed up and moved amazingly quickly while still taking care of all our belongings. Everything arrived safely and nothing was damaged or broken.
We unfortunately discovered that our sofa wouldn’t fit into the new house, but they arranged to store it for us at a really reasonable price and then delivered it to a storage unit a week later at a time that suited us – no fuss at all.
Moving house is stressful at the best of times (let alone in 34-degree heat and at 8 months pregnant!), but the whole team made the experience so much easier. Friendly, professional, efficient and genuinely helpful throughout. We’d absolutely use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!
Response from the owner:Dear Lucinda,
Thank you so much for such a fantastic and detailed review. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Gentleman & A Van.
We are delighted to hear that Amy was so responsive and reassuring throughout the planning of your move. Clear communication is really important to us, so it is wonderful to know that she helped make everything feel more straightforward and less stressful.
We will also be sure to pass your kind words on to the team who carried out the move. Working in 34-degree heat was certainly a challenge, but it is fantastic to hear that they remained efficient and took such great care of your belongings.
We are also pleased we could find a simple solution when the sofa wouldn't fit and arrange storage and the later delivery at a time that suited you. We always want to make things as easy as possible when unexpected issues arise.
Moving house is stressful enough without doing it in that heat, so we are especially pleased that the team helped make the experience easier for you. Thank you again for your recommendation and for choosing Gentleman & A Van. We wish you all the very best for the exciting new chapter ahead!

I was really impressed with the service. Having recently bought my first flat and started to furnish it, I have dealt with various delivery services recently and Alex and the Gentleman & A Van team were by far the best I have encountered - helpful, prompt, good communication, top quality of service and care for my delivery of a breakable item of furniture. I would certainly use their services again and recommend them to anyone.

Terance and the team, whichever one we use as we use these guys a lot, always go above and beyond. If the job gets a bit tight time wise and because they have such a large crew they call a team that maybe finished quicker elsewhere than anticipated and they all help out to get the job done. Always professional and no complaints.
Response from the owner:Dear Adam,
Thank you for your fantastic review and for continuing to choose Gentleman & A Van. We really appreciate your loyalty and support.
It is great to hear that you have consistently found Terance and the wider team willing to go above and beyond. Our ability to bring in additional crew when a job is taking longer than expected is all about making sure we deliver for our customers, so it is particularly rewarding to know that this has made a difference to you.
Thank you also for your kind words about the team's professionalism. We really value the trust you place in us for your business and personal moves, as well as your storage requirements.
We look forward to continuing to help you whenever you need us.

Can I give 10 stars? This company is amazing. They really really are very good at what they do. Every single person was excellent at what they do and they made out move as painless as possible and helped us out at quite short notice due to being let down by another supplier. Book in advance (unlike us). I can't recommend them highly enough. Amy and Sam are super heroes. Dont even contemplate any other company.

Could not recommend these guys more. Amy in the office was incredible; so efficient, knowledgeable and just lovely. Our original movers cancelled on us two days before our move, we thought we’d been clever and found cheap ones but they had so much small print it was going to work out double the quote. When questioned, they cancelled. We called these guys and Amy immediately came to the rescue (miraculous they had availability!!) within half an hour she’d organised our entire move, sent packers over to help and turned the most nightmare situation into a total triumph. Sam, Nic, Tom, Garry, Max, Taylor and the rest of the team were The Dream. So calm, capable, organised and knew exactly what they were doing. The safest possible hands and the nicest possible guys. They have totally transparent pricing which worked out basically the same as our dodgy ‘cheap’ ones and it was so fair for the level of professionalism and effort. I will never use anyone else again and am eternally grateful. THANK YOU for the best start to our new chapter 💙
Response from the owner:Dear Laura,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such an incredible review. We truly appreciate your kind words and are delighted that we were able to help when you found yourself in such a difficult situation.
We're especially pleased to hear that Amy was able to step in so quickly and turn what must have been a very stressful experience into a smooth and successful move. We will also be sure to pass your wonderful feedback on to Sam, Nic, Tom, Garry, Max, Taylor and the rest of the team. They will be thrilled to know they made such a positive difference.
It means a great deal to hear that you valued our transparent pricing and professionalism, and that we were able to restore your confidence after your previous experience.
Thank you again for your recommendation and for placing your trust in Gentleman & A Van. We wish you every happiness in your new home and hope to be of assistance again in the future.
